A number of towns across the county could be about to introduce parking charges.
Donegal County Council is proposing to introduce the pay for parking schemes as early as the beginning of the New Year in Falcarragh, Killybegs, Moville, Milford, Dungloe and Carndonagh.
A further four towns that already charge for parking are to see charges increased including Ballyshannon, Donegal Town and Ballybofey/Stranorlar.
The cost per hour is set to increase by 10 cent bringing parking up to 40 cent per hour in existing car parks and 60 cent per hour on the streets.
