EXCLUSIVE: A DONEGAL TOWN woman tonight drove to Dublin – to pick up a lotto cheque for €2M!

Christmas came early for the lucky Donegal lady who collected a cheque for €2 million in National Lottery offices this evening. The delighted lady won the Lotto jackpot on last night’s draw.

The lady, who wishes to keep the win private, is thrilled. “I play the Lotto every week,” she smiled. “I’ve always hoped to win big but to be honest you never expect it will happen to you.”

She continued: “I checked the ticket on Aertel this morning with my family and was left speechless. I must’ve looked over it ten or twelve times. I couldn’t believe my eyes. What a great Christmas present!”.

The lucky winner has no immediate plans for her win. “It still hasn’t sunk in yet as I only checked my ticket a few hours ago. I plan to take some time over the Christmas period to think about the win.”

The lucky €4 Quick Pick ticket was bought in Post Office, Tirchonaill Street, Donegal Town on the day of the draw.

Post Mistress Mary Harley said: “I’m delighted for the winner. It is a great boost to the whole area coming up to Christmas.”
