LOTTO GRANDMUM SAYS SHE’LL WAIT FOR SALES TO BUY HER SOFA!

Lotto-winning grandmother Kathleen McLaughlin has revealed she is waiting until the sales to buy her new sofa.

The Redcastle grandmother scooped a whopping €2.6 million at the beginning of December.

However the mother of eight and grandmother of 28 says she doesn’t need the money.

“I probably will buy a new suite but I think I’ll wait until the sales in the New Year when it’s a bit cheaper,” she said.

Kathleen says she isn’t a big fan of Christmas but will buy her grandchildren some nice presents as a result of her windfall.

And Kathleen, 78, reveals that she still does the lotto every Friday night but still doesn’t even know her winning lotto numbers.

“I get up every morning and I don’t feel any different. The money doesn’t really mean anything to me but it’s great for the family.

“We will have a nice Christmas and we will all be together so that’s all that matters,” she said.

She also revealed that despite buying all her bingo friends their books for their weekly bingo session after she scooped the lotto, she was the one who won €20!
