BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES – GALE BATTERS COUNTY

THE storm force gale predicted by Met Eireann yesterday is currently battering Co Donegal, causing difficult driving conditions.

The Harry Blaney bridge has been closed and forecasters are warning of wind gusts of up to 125km/hr.

Celtic fans from the county travelling to this evening’s Old Firm clash with Rangers at Celtic Park did manage to cross the Irish Sea this morning on delayed crossings, but return journeys are “in doubt”.
