ANGER AS SLOBS DUMP BEDS AT CEMETERY

THERE are litter louts – and then there are litter slobs – people who will dump ANYTHING absolutely ANYWHERE.

And the latest example has anti-litter campaigners up in arms.

For mindless slobs have dumped TWO BEDS at Cockhill Cemetery in Buncrana.

And the good-living man who picked them up told donegaldaily.com: “I thought I had seen it all when it comes to littering but this really was the lowest of the low.

“How anyone can dump such items in the first place is beyond me but to dump them on holy ground like this just beggars belief.”

He said he agreed with recent comments from Buncrana Tidy Towns Seamus McLaughlin who described litterbugs as “slobs.”

Mr McLaughlin said he wanted the seaside town to get top marks in the 2012 Tidy Towns competition but he warned: “Remember, we’re at war with slobs who have no respect for our town or environment.”

The man who found the beds told us: “Unfortunately Seamus is right. I lifted the mattresses and beds and took them away without any fuss; but I’d love it if we started jailing people who do this sort of thing.
