DONEGAL CROKE PARK DISPLAY PULLS IN RECORD VIEWERS

Donegal’s All Ireland semi-final encounter with Dublin last summer was the third most watched sporting occasion on Irish television last year.

More than 700,000 tuned in to watch the game at Croke Park which earned Jim McGuinness and his team so much negative press.

And for a game that so many people claimed was example of all that was wrong with Gaelic football, that’s a hell of a lot of people.

The most watched sporting occasion last year was, not surprisingly, the All-Ireland final between Dublin and Kerry which pulled in 1,085,200 viewers.

Not even Daniel O’Donnell’s 50th birthday celebrations on the Late Late Show could top that!
