The following are a number of topics which will be discussed at tonight’s Letterkenny Town Council meeting.

Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh is to ask the council what plans are being made to allow Letterkenny to make the most of Derry being made European City of Culture for 2013.

Cllr Tom Crossan is to ask the council about the position of having the lighting on the Polestar repaired.

The council will receive a deputation from the Letterkenny Mountain Bike Club.

Cllr Ciaran Brogan is to ask the council when the new council webpage will be launched.

Signs directing GAA fans to O’Donnell Park should be erected as the pitch is being used increasingly more for county football and hurling games, according to Cllr Tagdh Culbert.

The up-to-date situation with regard to public toilets in the town is to be raised by Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh.

Cllr Dessie Larkin is to ask the council to use their in-house expertise to look at the lay-out of Market Square.

The illegal use of the yellow box junction outside Gallagher’s Hotel on the town’s Main Street is to be brought up by Cllr Tagdh Culbert because of what he describes as users being “completely out of control.”

Cllr Dessie Larkin is to ask the council engineer to erect a “residents parking only” sign at McNeely Villas.
