DRIVERS WARNED AS WINTRY SHOWERS LEAVE ROADS SLIPPY

MOTORISTS are being told to slow down due to sleet and snow falling in parts of Donegal.

Tonight in Ballybofey, Stranorlar and Letterkenny there as been heavy showers of sleet and snow – most falling as sleet. There have been reports of it lying on roads in places leading to slippery roads.

Drivers are being warned to slow down and keep their distance from other vehicles on the road between Derry and Letterkenny N13 and on the Barnesmore gap.

The N15 tonight has been described as been treacherous after heavy showers of sleet.
