DONEGAL DEATH NOTICES FOR MONDAY, JANUARY 23, 2012

BOYD

The death has taken place of Gladys Boyd, Doonan, Donegal Town and formerly of Dunkineely, Co Donegal. Removal from Letterkenny General Hospital today at 3pm to Donegal Methodist Church. Funeral Service tomorrow, Tuesday, at 1pm, followed by burial in Glebe Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. House private, please.

DOHERTY

The death has taken place of Larry Doherty, Station Road, Ballyshannon. Removal from the Shiel Hospital Mortuary today, Monday, at 12 noon, to his late residence to repose from 1pm.  Removal tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11.15am St. Joseph’s Church, The Rock, Ballyshannon, for 12 noon funeral mass. Burial afterwards in the Abbey Assaroe Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, to The North West Hospice.

SMITH

The death has taken place of Colm Smith, 5 Rockfield Terrace, Buncrana. His remains are reposing at his daughter Denise and son-in-law Donal Bradley’s residence at 9 Burwood, Buncrana. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 9.30am for Requiem Mass at 10am in St Mary’s Oratory, Buncrana, followed by interment in Cockhill Cemetery.

McLAUGHLIN

The death has taken place at her late residence of Anna-Rita Mc Laughlin, Chapel Street, Carndonagh. Removal from her late residence tomorrow, Tuesday, at 8pm going to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Carndonagh, to repose overnight. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am  followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

JOHNSTON

The death has occurred of Catherine Johnston, Derryfad, Creeslough. Removal from Letterkenny General Hospital today at 6pm going to her home. Funeral arrangements later.

McLAUGHLIN

The death has taken place of Susan McLaughlin Fahan Malin. Her remains are reposing at her son Peter’s residence at Fahan Malin. Funeral from there tomorrow, Tuesday at 10.30am going to St Patrick’s Church Aughyclay, Malin for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

McCANDLESS

The death has taken place at the Foyle Hospice Derry of Bertie McCandless, Straths Bridge, Carndonagh. Funeral from his home tomorrow, Tuesday, at 1.45pm going to Donagh Parish Church, Carndonagh for Service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

RUDDY

The death has taken place in Donegal Hospice of James Ruddy, Keadue. His remains are reposing at his late residence. Removal from there tomorrow, Tuesday, at 11.30am going to St Mary’s Church Kincasslagh for Requiem Mass at 12 midday. Interment afterwards in Cruit Cemetery. House private please from 11pm to 10am. Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired to Donegal Hospice c/o Shaun McGlynn Funeral Director or any family member.
