The recent Government embargo on recruitment means that people in Donegal Town may have to grin and bare it if caught short.

The retirement of the town’s caretaker means that there is now a serious lack of toilets in the town.

The situation has been described as ‘embarrassing’ by county councillor Brendan Byrne.

He said with the summer season fast approaching, something has to be done to accommodate tourists.
