Eircom is to invest more than €5 million in its broadband network across Letterkenny in the coming months.
The plan was unveiled by Eircom spokesman Paul Bradley when he made a presenation to Letterkenny Town Council last night.
The upgrade and investment is to prepare the fibre cable network for various different innovations expected in technology in the coming years.
It is hoped the upgrade will also attract more jobs into the area in the future.
