UP to a dozen more young men put out of Derry City by vigilantes have arrived in Co Donegal in the past few days, donegaldaily.com can reveal.
We have learned that Republican Action Against Drugs and the Real IRA are cashing in on the fear surrounding the murder a week ago of Andy Allen.
He was shot dead in front of his girlfriend in a quiet estate at Lisfannon, Buncrana last Thursday night.
He was accused by the terror gang of being a drug dealer.
However he was shot for travelling to Derry to see his two children, breaching the death threat order.
Earlier this week Sinn Fein MLA Raymond McCartney, a former IRA prisoner who opposes the dissident gangs revealed that five men from the same area as Mr Allen had been ordered out.
“Five local men have been informed that their lives are under threat from vigilante gangs and that they must leave the area. This follows similar threats being issued against a number of people from the Top of the Hill and Curryneirn over the past six months,” he said.
We understand that up to a dozen men have in fact been forced out of the Derry area since the murder.
Several have moved to Letterkenny and Ballybofey, though none have moved to Buncrana.
They have been told not to return to the North.
Many of them have denied being drug dealers; with sources saying that they are being ‘picked on’ for – as one said – ‘standing up to these bully boys.’
