There was huge excitement in Letterkenny’s Cottage Bar over the weekend following a surprise engagement.

Champagne flowed as Aoife McGonigle celebrated her engagement to Shane McGlade.

Aoife, the daughter of the very young looking Martin and Theresa McGonigle, got the shock of her life recently went Shane went down on bended knee.

He picked the very romantic setting of the Trevi Fountain in Rome as the backdrop to the romantic gesture.

And of course Aoife said yes!

The happy couple were surrounded by family and friends including Aoife’s aunt Tricia and uncle Packie McGinley as they toasted the engagement.

There was just one downside to the evening though.

Aunt Tricia still cant decide if she is going to wear a hat or not!

Plenty of time before that small detail.

Congratulations to all from Donegaldaily.com.
