GAA: NAOMH MHUIRE GAA CLUB NOTES

The under 8s and under 10s continue training this Saturday at the Sportshall at the RCS. Training may be outdoors this Saturday morning training on the Astro-pitch. The under 8s will train from 11am – 12pm with the under 10s training from 12pm – 1pm. Under 12 training continues every Tuesday at the RCS from 7pm – 8pm.The minors had 2 good challenge games against Gaoth Dobhair and Dungloe last week in Gaoth Dobhair. Many thanks to all involved in a good run out for all teams. Thanks to Robbie for officiating on the day and to Pobal Scoil Gaothdobhair for the pitch.

The under 16 boys had a very competitive outing against St.Michaels in Dunfanaghy last Sunday morning. Their league starts on Sunday 11th March at home to Aodh Ruadh.

There will be a level one course taking place in Dungloe gym on the weekends of 23rd/24 March and 30/31 March. Please contact Gary if interested in doing the course.

The Junior Gaeltacht got under way last weekend with the Reserves playing Termon Seniors. The Reserves were always going to be up against it and so it proved. The Senior game against Dungloe will take place on either Saturday or Sunday the 3rd or 4th of March, in Dungloe.

The championship draws were made at the weekend and we have drawn Urris in the Intermediate championship while its Four Masters in the u-21 Championship.

John Gillespie of Gillespie Engineering has donated a set of kit bags to the Club Senior side for their year ahead in Div 2. The Club are most grateful to John and Gillespie Engineering for this sponsorship as well as the sponsorship last year. Local sponsors are an important part of the Clubs success.

Ladies and Girls training continues in Aishlann at 7.30pm on Wednesday nights. Please make an effort to get to training as the Junior league starting date is 8th April and u14 starting date is 27th March.

Comhghairdeas to Rosie McGarvey daughter of our Chairperson Cormac who represented Donegal and clg Gaoth Dobhair at the All-Ireland Scor na nOg finals in Castlebar at the weekend.Althought she missed out on the title its a great achievement to get to the final. Blian eile agat, a Roise.

The Healthy Living program is going very well. Every Wednesday at 7pm at the Mullaghderg Banks.

Lotto details for week 15th February. Jackpot 1100 euro. No jackpot winner. There were no match 3 winner. Numbers were 1-13-23-24.
