Donegal singer Maria McCool faces an uphill battle on tonight’s Late Late Show if she is to be chosen as Ireland’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Gaoth Dobhair singer has received huge praise for her entry ‘Mistaken’ which was written by former B*Witched star Edele Lynch.

But the bookmakers don’t give the Co Meath-based teacher a chance.

Paddy Power has made Maria a 25-1 outside chance of getting on the plane to Baku.

The firm favourites to represent Ireland once again as the madcap twins Jedward.

Maria will battle it out with four other acts in a live contest on tonight’s Late Late Show with Ryan Tubridy.
