DONEGAL DEATH NOTICES FOR TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2012

JAMES FERRY

The death has taken place of James Ferry (Oisin) Meenacuing, Gaoth Dobhair. Remains reposing at his sister Tess’s residence at Meenacuing. Funeral arrangements later. House private from 11pm – 9am.

WILLIE PEOPLES

The death has occurred in Letterkenny General Hospital of Willie Peoples, 3 Fr McLoone Terrace, Oldtown, Letterkenny. Remains reposing at his late residence. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 12 noon in St Eunan’s Cathedral with interment afterwards to Leck Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations if desired to The Donegal Hospice or The Alzheimer’s Society c/o Con McDaid and Sons Funeral Directors or any family member.Family time 10pm – 11am and on the morning of the funeral.

JOE STEWART

The death has taken place at Letterkenny General Hospital of Joe Stewart, Gortnaskeagh, Kilmacrennan. His remains will repose at his home from 7pm today, Tuesday. Funeral leaving his home at 2pm on Thursday for Service in Leiter Presbyterian Church, followed by interment in the adjoining burial ground. Family flowers only; donations in lieu if desired to Surgical 2 Ward, Letterkenny General Hospital c/o McElwee Funeral Directors or any family member. House private between 11pm and 10am.

PATSY BREEN

The death has taken place of Patsy Breen, Greenfield, Convoy. His remains will repose at Gibson’s Funeral Home, Broadpath, Convoy from 3pm to 10pm today, Tuesday. Removal from there tomorrow, Wednesday at 5.30pm going to St Mary’s Church, Convoy to repose overnight. Funeral mass on Thursday at 11am with burial afterwards in the family plot at the old cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Donegal Hospice c/o Gibson Funeral Directors, Convoy.

MARY WALSH

The death has taken place at Dungloe District Hospital of Mary Walsh, (Sunny), Sheskinarone, Dungloe, and formerly of Ranafast. Removal from Mc Glynn’s Funeral Home, Chapel Road, Dungloe today at 2pm, going to her late residence. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am in St Crona’s Church, Dungloe, followed by burial in Maghery Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Dungloe Hospital Patients’ Comfort Fund.  The house is private please from 11pm to 10am.

TILLY WILSON

The death has taken place at Brindley Manor Nursing Home, Convoy of Tilly Wilson, Portleen, Kilmacrennan. Remains are reposing at the home of her son Trevor and Daughter in Law Linda at Portleen. Funeral service in the house tomorrow, Wed, at 3pm. Burial afterwards in Milford burying ground. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu of desired to Brindley Manor Patients Comfort Fund – c/o any family member.

TOMMY BROWN

The death has taken place at Sligo General Hospital of Tommy Brown, Ellesmere Court, West End, Bundoran. Funeral arrangements to be announced later.  Enquiries to John Mulreany Funeral Director on 071 9841547.  House private please.

CONNIE BRESLIN

The death has occurred at Letterkenny General Hospital of Connie Breslin, Gortin North, Ballindrait. His remains are reposing at his home. Funeral from there tomorrow, Wednesday, at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Murlog at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

ANNE LOGUE (IN LONDON)

The death has taken place in London of Anne Logue formerly of Dunmore, Carrigart. Remains will arrive from Belfast International Airport to the Church of John the Baptist, Carrigart tonight, Tuesday, at approximately at 12 midnight. Funeral Mass tomorrow, Wednesday, at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

MARY O’DONNELL

The death has taken place in Falcarragh Nursing Unit of Mary Mamie O’Donnell, Ballina, Falcaragh. Remains reposing at her home. Funeral Mass tomorrow, Wednesday, at 12noon in St Finian’s Church, Falcarragh. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private from 11pm to 10am.

ANDREW McLAUGHLIN

The death has taken place at the Buncrana Nursing Unit of Andrew Mc Laughlin, (Rosha’s Andy), Middle Illies, Ballymagan, Buncrana. Remains are reposing at his home. Funeral from there tomorrow, Wednesday, at 10am for Requiem Mass at 11am in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Buncrana Nursing Unit, c/o Mc Kinney Funeral Directors, Buncrana.

MICK LARKIN

The death has taken place at Letterkenny General Hospital of Mick Larkin, late of 2 Manor Court, Moville. Remains are reposing at his home. Funeral from there tomorrow, Wednesday, at 10.30am for 11am Requiem Mass in St Pius the 10th Church, Moville, followed by interment in St Clare’s Cemetery, Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim.
