WE don’t know what they’re feeding the children in Kilmacrennan these days, but it must be lots of fruit and vegatables…because these children have BIG BRAINS!
For the pupils at Kilmacrennan National School are the North West Garda Quiz champions.
The competition for primary school children took place in the Craobhin in Termon at the weekend.
Fifteen teams in all took part in the competition stretching from Illistrin NS in the east to Magheraroarty NS in the west of the county.
The questions proved very tough with 6 rounds of 11 questions being asked.
In the end it was the quiz team from Kilmacrennan NS who won out on the night.
Said proud teacher Mel O’Donnell: “The children worked extremely hard and we are so delighted that they are through to the finals.”
They now go forward to the county finals along with Magheraraorty NS and St Josephs NS, Rathmullan that will take place on Fri. 23rd March.
Results: 1st Kilmacrennan NS 50pts
2nd Magheraroarty NS 44pts
3rd Rathmullan NS 42 pts
