DONEGAL TOWN COMMUNITY BAND WILL BE DRESSED TO KILL FOR BIG PARADE

The Donegal Town Community Band will unveil their new uniform at this Saturday’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in their home town.

Chairman of the band, Pauric Kennedy said “the uniform is long overdue and the children are delighted”

Martina O Donnell who is a former band member and current instructor said ” it marks a new beginning for the Donegal Town Band,, it’s great for the kids, it will bring them on in leaps and bounds”

Linda O Donnell who is probablly the main reason the Donegal Town Parade is now the biggest in the South West said this year’s Parade promises to be “the best yet” with entries and interest “well up on last year’s”

The Parade kicks off at 3pm. Vehicles and floats are asked to assemble at Donegal Town Business Park at 2pm while bands and walkers are asked to assemble at the Green beside Mc Phillemy’s Furniture Store on the Mountchrles road at the same time.

The Parade will enter the Diamond from Bridge St whenst it will go around the Diamond (anti clockwise) and head up Main St. It will do a u turn at Donegal Community Hospital and come back down again.onto the Diamond. All vehicles require their own insurance.
