THE man killed in a building site accident yesterday will be laid to rest on Friday.

Eamonn Bonner, from Doochary, died instantly when a crane touched overhead wires near Dunlewey yesterday morning. He was working nearby.

Mr Bonner, who was in his early 40s and married with two young daughters, was working on a local water scheme at Meenaboll when the tragedy happened before 10am.

The HSA is investigating how the accident happened.

He had worked on construction sites in London during the boom times before returning to Donegal to work with local company Kilmac Construction.

Mr Bonner’s remains were removed from McGlynn’s Funeral Home, Chapel Road, Dungloe this afternoon to his residence.

Funeral Mass on Friday morning at 11am in Lettermacaward Church with burial afterwards in the new graveyard. The house private from 11pm until 10am.
