Termon GAA Notes: Week Ending 12/03/12

Minor Board:

Termon GAA would like to thank Kilmacrennan National School for the use of their excellent facilities over the last couple of weeks. Underage training resumes this Friday evening 16th March in the Craoibhin centre in Termon.

 

6 – 7pm. U6 & U8 Boys & Girls Squads will train between

7 – 8pm U10 and U12 girls coaching will take place.

8 – 9pm under 10 boys training will take place.

9 – 10pm U12 / U14 boys coaching.

 

Registration for all minor boys & girls will take place between 6pm & 10pm in the Craoibhin during training.

 

Ladies Board:

 

Congratulations to Hollie McDaid, Lauren McElwaine, Caroline Gallagher, Niamh Kelly, Elaine Doherty and Roselean Gallagher who are part of Loreto, Milford school team won the Ulster final on Friday against Loreto, Cavan and also their manager Grainne McCafferty. All the best in the All Ireland Semi final this Friday.

 

Commiserations also to Ashling Ryan, Aoife Ryan, Shannagh Kelly and Jamie Lee Murray who were part of the Loreto, Letterkenny school team who defeated in an Ulster final on Friday.

 

The Junior Ladies are currently training every Wednesday at 8pm in the Craoibhin, Termon. All new players welcome. Contact Harry McGlynn on 086 850 0734 for information.

 

Lotto:

The Lotto draw took place in the Lagoon, Termon on Friday last. The winning numbers were 11, 15, 22 and 25. There were no match 3 winners. Bridget McBrearty, Martin Egan and John McGonagle won €10 each. Next week’s draw takes place in McClaffertys Churchill. Essie McGrenra and Paul Doherty are the coordinators. The jackpot now is €1950.

Senior:

The seniors defeated Glenswilly last Saturday in the Junior Gaeltacht at the Burn Road. They now play Downings in the next round.

 

Club Social:

A very enjoyable Club social took place last Saturday in the Lagoon. The club would like to thank Kevin Cassidy, our special guest for his attendance on the night.

 

The winners were:

Senior Men Player of the year: Shaun McDaid

Reserve Men Player of the year: Kevin McElwaine

Junior Ladies Player of the year: Lisa McGlynn

Senior Ladies Player of the year: Nicole McLaughlin.

James Trearty received a special appreciation award for his work as Ladies Board PRO.

 

Ladies Chairperson, Deirdre Gallagher was a very deserving Club Person of the year. Congratulations to all who received awards.

 

Membership

Annual Membership is now due for renewal. All players, managers and coaches must have membership to be involved with the club. Adult membership with lotto is €80 for adults and €60 for students. Anyone wishing to purchase a Club Donegal ticket which permits access to all men’s club games in the county free of charge can do so for €200 including your club membership. Poker Classic

Termon GAA will be hosting a Poker classic in the Lagoon, Termon on Thursday the 5th April 2012 starting at 8pm. Entry €20. For more info contact Joe on 086 406 0633.
