There is the sad news this evening of the passing of another St. Eunan’s GAA great.

Jack McDonagh passed away at 6:30pm this evening.

Jack is the father of the club’s Cultural Award winner for 2011, Emer McGeehin.

Many of his family are still involved in the club, his grandsons Mark & Conor Harley, Eunan & Ciaran Diver, Eoin & Ronan McGeehin and granddaughters Katie Harley, Deirdre & Aiobheann Diver all represent the Letterkenny club.

Jack himself won Senior Championship and League medals with St. Eunan’s in the 1950’s, a member of the 2nd ever Senior Championship winning team in 1956.

Jack’s funeral will take place on Saturday. Further details to follow.
