A Donegal family have dyed their hair in a bid to raise the plight of people with cancer across the county.

The McLaughlin family, like many other families, have been unfortunate enough to spend more than their fair share of time in the Donegal Hospice.

Several members of the family have been treated for cancer.

This week several of the family decided it was a good idea to dye their hair several different colours including bright pink to raise awareness of the everyday cancer battle being fought by many.

The family members including John, Eugene and Carol all received the VIP treatment from Jenna McLaughlin of Loose Ends Hair Salon in Ballybofey.

Others include Gerry McLaughlin, Angela McLaughlin, Caroline Henderson, Amanda McLaughlin, Patrick McLaughlin, Stephen McNamee and many others.

The family have organised a number of events in a bid to raise funds for the fight against cancer.

They will host a Coffee Morning & Blow Dry Day on Friday 23rd March from 9am – 5pm. All Blow Drys €10, No appointments needed. Contact Jenna @ Loose Ends Hair Salon 9130000 for more information.

Meanwhile they will host a Charity Fun Night on Friday 23rd March @ 9pm. With wacky hair dyes, waxing, head shaves, music, craic & much, much more!!!!

The event takes place at MacCumhaills GAA Bar, Ballybofey. Tickets €5 (available at door or by calling 0851027061.

And if that wasn;t enough there will also be a Charity Bed Push on Saturday in Ballybofey at 1pm. Bucket collections all day in Ballybofey!

ALL Proceeds will be donated to The Donegal Hospice.
