Donegal Mountain Rescue Team depend almost entirely on voluntary contributions to carry out their vital work.
So a contribution of more than €1,300 from Letterkenny General Hospital Sports and Social Club was more than welcome.
The donation will go towards the DMR team’s Search Management equipment.
Some of those involved in the fundraising are keen walkers and DMRT have covered the walks.
A spokesman for DMRT said “We are very grateful to people like the members of the Letterkenny General Hospital Sports and Social Club. Without donations like this we could not do our work,” he said.
