The HSE do not think another person who died at the Nazareth House Nursing home in Co Donegal died as a result of the flu.

The elderly resident died earlier today at the home in Fahan close to Buncrana.

A total of 14 patients are still being treated for symptoms of the Influenza AH flu which killed six people at the home between March 22 and April 2.

At least two patients are understood to be in a serious condition as a result of contracting the flu.

It is also understood that four members of staff have contracted the flu but are not believed to be a serious condition.

A public health team continues to be on the ground at the nursing home monitoring the situation.
