Rosses AC

On Monday last a number of athletes travelled to the Tír Chonaill AC host open Track and Field event and some good results: In the Girls u12 60m Hurdles: Caitlin James 2nd Mia Mc Devitt 3rd. Girls u14 Sprints: Amy Hannah 2nd. Girls u12 High Jump: Mia Mc Devitt 2nd. Girls u16 High Jump: Nicole Boyle 3rd. Boys u12 Long Jump: Fintan Doherty 1st. Boys u12 High Jump: Fintan Doherty 2nd.

A huge thanks to all who helped and those who supported despite the weather. Special thanks to Anne and Paul McDevitt for all their help in running this – much appreciated.

Congratulations to Kieran Doherty, Cruit and Letterkenny A.C. who won gold for 3000 meters at the World Masters indoor championships in Finland.

Adult training in Carrickfinn Saturday morning at 8am. We will look to have these sessions change to suit as required but for now we are trying to gauge interest and get some group sessions organised for all levels involved so please feel free to come along. All welcome.

Ballyliffin saw up to 12 locals running on a great course with a number venturing over the 10 mile distance for the first time. Well done to all, with special mention to Shaun McShane who was 7th in a time of 58:39.
