It was a successful bank holiday monday for the club as the seniors, reserves and u16’s all recorded good victories over Bundoran. In the first game of the day a late Pauric Gormley point gave the reserves a one point victory.

The lads trailed by 4 points mid way through the first half but the introduction of Alan McGirr saw the lads take control around the middle and come back into the game. A goal from David Graham at the start of the second half gave the lads a great boost before a late goal from Bundoran tied the game. There was still time for one more chance and Pauric Gormley popped up with the winner to give Naomh Brid a victory on a scoreline of 1-8 to 1-7.

In the Senior match Naomh Brid battled hard in a low scoring first half which was dominated with wides from both sides. With the defence standing strong the boys went in 0-3 to 0-2 up at half time. In the second half Thomas Gallagher and Dermot Langan took control around the middle and with scores from Paul McGrory, David Walsh, Pauric McDaid and Calum Gallagher the lads took a 0-9 to 0-4 lead going into the closing minutes. The defence worked hard and didn’t pass up any scoring opportunities for Bundoran and in the end Naomh Brid ran out victors on a scoreline of 0-9 to 0-5.

In the final game of the day the U16’s recorded a great victory over Bundoran on a scoreline of 3-10 to 1-7. There were great performances from Killian Burns, Shane Timoney, Paul Robinson, Owen McGarrigle, Patrick Moss and Gerard Martin.

U8, U10 and U12 training continues this Saturday morning at 10am at the race field in Murvagh. All new players are welcome and lots of fun is guaranteed. It is important that all players are registered and have registration forms signed. Forms will be available on Saturday at training.

Anyone who wishes to have any information included in the club notes should contact Shane Walsh on shanew03@live.ie by 6pm on Monday evening.
