SADNESS AS FATHER OF TD PEARSE DOHERTY PASSES AWAY

THE family of Sinn Fein TD Pearse Doherty is in mourning after the death of his father Michéal, the party has announced.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Pearse Doherty and the entire Doherty family at this sad time,” said a party spokesman.

Mr Doherty from Eoghanon, Magheraclogher, Derrybeg, Gaoth Dobhair died suddenly.

His remains are reposing at his late residence. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 11am in Derrybeg.
