GAA: KILLYBEGS GAA CLUB NEWS

The Killotto had no winner this week. The numbers were 2, 5, 12 and 29 116. There was one winner of Match 3 Numbers; Antonie O’Hara, Killybegs. Next week’s Killotto jackpot is €3,850 and Match 3 is €60. You can now do the Killotto online. Visit www.locallotto.ie and go to the Killybegs page.

There was no winner of Bingo Jackpot. Consolation prize of €120 went to Maire Boyle, Carrick. Next week’s Jackpot will be €2,750 on 53 calls.

 

The Seniors had a good win away last Sunday to Malin in a tough physical encounter with a final score of 0-10 0-09. The reserve team were beaten by the hosts 1-08 0-08. This weekend both teams are due to have a double round of league fixtures. The 1st game is away to N. Mhuire on Friday and home to our championship opponents Fanad on Sunday. Check local press for further details.

 

Minor team defeated N. Mhuire last Thursday in their opening league fixture and are due to play Kilcar Wednesday night. U-16’s drew with A. Ruadh last Wednesday and both teams now progress to league semi-finals. U-14’s have their first league fixture away to Kilcar this Wednesday evening at 7pm.

 

U-10’s rain this Wednesday at 5.45pm – 6.45pm. Bus leaves school at 5.30pm and Saturday morning at 10.15am – 11.15am. Bus leaves school at 10am.

 

Thanks to everyone who helped in anyway last week to make our first Easter camp a major success. 107 kids attended and a great week was had by all. Aaron Cunningham visited the camp on Wednesday and along with him he had the Andy Merrgan Cup which his club Crossmaglen won two weeks ago. The club would like to thank him for his work on the day.

 

On Friday Richard Ferris from Derry attended and gave a great coaching session during the camp and for senior training on Friday night and he finished the weekend with a coaching demonstration on Saturday morning for all coaches. We would like to thank Richard for his services over the two days.

 

Club Membership is now due. You can pay Rita Nolan or Kathleen McCabe.

There is a talent competition on in the Harbour bar on Saturday 21st and 28th. €1000 prizes and proceeds go to the Killybegs G.A.A. So come along and support the acts and enjoy the nights.

 

Club Donegal is now available. You can get cards from Rita Nolan at €200 for the year. Killybegs U-16’s are playing Dungloe in Fintra on Sunday 18th at 12pm.
