Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 23.04.12

It was a good weekend for the Senior and Reserve Footballers in the League with both teams coming out of a two game weekend with full points. The Reserves had a big win in Gaoth Dobhair on Friday evening before again putting in a good display in Glenswilly on Sunday. The Seniors won a very close contest in Gaoth Dobhair on Friday before an excellent 7 point win against Co. champions Glenswilly on Sunday despite playing most of the 2nd half with 14 men. Both teams will take on Dungloe in O’Donnell Park this Sunday, throwing in at 1:30pm and 3pm respectively. The Juniors had no game last week and this week looks like another free week for them.

The Senior Hurlers lost by the narrowest of margins on Saturday in their Ulster Táin League Div. 4 semi-final against Mattock Rangers of Louth, going down by 3-06 to 0-14. It has given the team a sound platform for the season ahead.

The Minor Boys footballers are back in action this week after a break last week. They travel to Cloughaneely on Friday with  a 7pm throw-in.

The U-16 Football Div 1 boys team were in action on Monday night as they took on MacCumhaills in the Shield final, the lads put in probably their best performance of the season so far to win by 1-12 to 0-05.

Jim Clarke’s U-14 boys footballers will take on Aodh Rua, Ballyshannon in the Co. Féile Final this Wednesday (25th) in MacCumhaill Park with  a 7:45pm throw-in.

The U-12 Girls Football training has restarted every Wednesday at 5pm in the Park.

The Minor Hurlers play away to Buncrana this Thursday. The U-14 hurlers are at home to Buncrana. The U-14 Hurlers play away in the Ulster Feile this Saturday after a good away win to Carndonagh last Thursday in the league.

U-16 and U-18 Hurling training is on every Monday at 5:30pm in O’Donnell Park. All new hurlers welcome. U14 & U12 Hurling training Tuesday at 5:30.

All managers are reminded to stick to their agreed training days and times and not to change without consulting Vincent first.

The Friday Evening Hurling & Camogie Academy is back up and running every Friday from 6:30pm. New members welcome. Groups from U-6 through to U-10.

The Sunday Morning Football Academy has also started for 2012 each week at 11am. Again, all new members welcome and groups from U-6 up to U-10.
