Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 30.04.12

The Seniors and Reserves both recorded good wins over Dungloe in the Park on Sunday. They will travel to take on Four Masters this week on Saturday evening, the games throw-in at 6pm and 7:30pm.

The Juniors travel to MacCumhaills also on Saturday evening at 7:30pm.

The Minors had a good win in Cloughaneely on Friday, winning by 1-13 to 1-05. They travel to Malin this Friday with a 7:30pm throw-in.

The Senior Ladies had a good win over County champions Glenfin on Saturday in the league, winning by 2-07 to 2-06.

Well done to the U-14 Boys team that won the Co. Féile for the 3rd year in a row in a close fought game with Aodh Rua, Ballyshannon with our boys winning by a single point. The girls were not so lucky, losing their Final to  a well drilled Naomh Conaill outfit.

The U-12 Girls Football training has restarted every Wednesday at 5pm in the Park.

The Minor Hurlers played away to Buncrana last Thursday and despite an excellent display of hurling were eventually outgunned. They play their final league game at home to Burt this Thursday. The U14 Hurlers also play away to Burt this week. U16 and U18 Hurling training is on every Monday at 5:30pm in O’Donnell Park. U12 Hurling training Tuesday at 5:30pm, U14 Hurlers train at 4:30. As usual all new hurlers welcome.

Our Friday evening Hurling & Camogie Academy is back up and running as is the Sunday Morning Football Academy. Both  Academies cater from kids from U-6 up to U-10 with almost 140 children in attendance last Sunday morning. St. Eunan’s would like to thank Cllr. Tadhg Culbert for his very generous donation to our Minor Board.

Well done to the 8 St Eunan’s girls who played on Saturday at the Ulster Feile blitz with the U-14 South Donegal team. The girls won 3 games beating Carndonagh, Burt and Na Maigha and drawing with Eoghan Rua (Coleraine). They now play Eoghan Rua again on Wednesday night in Derry to earn their place in the Ulster final on Saturday. Best of luck in their efforts.

Our Lotto +1 campaign for April is drawing to a close shortly, have you signed up to support your club? Contact Peter Curran for more details on our Lotto Direct Debit on 086-3852973. Check out our Facebook page for more details and don’t forget to visit our new website: www.steunansgaa.com.
