Daniel gets Freedom oSinger Daniel O’Donnell is to receive the freedom of the county.
The millionaire singer, 50, is to be given the award after an announcement by Mayor of Donegal Cllr Noel McBride said the award is being made in recognition of Daniel’s “outstanding contribution” as an ambassador for his native county.
Daniel will be conferred with the Freedom of Donegal at a ceremony on June 22nd at County House in Lifford.
His family and friends are all expected to turn up at the ceremony which is rarely awarded.
This Sunday the star will officially open the Daniel O’Donnell Visitor’s Centre in Dungloe.
