A climber has rescued by helicopter and been airlifted to hospital after being injured near Glencolmcille.
The Donegal Mountain Rescue Team, Killybegs Coastguard Unit and the Coastguard Helicopter were sent to Scalpuna Bay to help the fallen rock climber.
However the Donegal Mountain Rescue Team was stood down when the helicopter reached the casualty first while Killybegs Coastguard Unit stayed on the scene until the climber was lifted form the scene.
The injured climber was flown to hospital and is belived to have suffered a broken ankle and shoulder.
