He already holds a record for having the most caps for Ireland with 121 appearances.
But now Shay Given could make his own records according to one of Ireland’s most respected musicians.
Singer Damien Dempsey is one of the stars behind the official Irish anthem for this summer’s European Championships.
And he says that goalkeeper Given is one of the best singers in the Irish team.
“A lot of the younger ones wouldn’t even try singing. But some of the older players like Shay Given knew exactly what they were at,” he said.
