CHEF MAKES SURE IT’S A “PIZZA’ CAKE ON RUGBY CLUB’S FUN DAY

A big-hearted Letterkenny chef ensured that a fun day for Letterkenny Rugby Club did not ‘pasta’ by without everyone having a great day.

The club asked Davide Tuliio of La Fantasia Restaurant to sponsor a few pizzas for the family fun day yesterday.

But Davide went one large step further.

He said that he would do Pizza, Pasta, Risotto and Meatballs, with fresh Garlic Bread.

He arrived at 1.00 with a full kitchen complete with pizza oven loaned from Thermequip.

He brought two chefs and two more staff, all in pristine La Fantasia uniform and within minutes the smell was making everyone hungry.

Davide and his team fed more than 300 souls and not one went home hungry.

Davide offered his services after hearing the event was to promote Fight Night in the Tassie on May 18th and Coastal Cancer Challenge on July 21st.

He said that if we were so committed to raising money for charity then the least he could do was provide the food.

A spokesman for the club said “We are all flabbergasted at his generosity. He even sponsored some of the fighters for Fight Night just after he fed them.

This guy is a bit special and Letterkenny is lucky to have him living here. He says he is very happy here and we’re happy he is here.”
