Frosses NS 7-3 v Scoil Mhuire, Derrybeg 5-7:

Arguably the most exciting final played in all five divisions of the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol football took place in Dungloe on Friday last between Frosses NS and Scoil Mhuire, Doirí Beaga girls.

The game was a close affair thoughout with both teams leading at various stages of the game. There were some great scores from both teams.

Goals were in abundance with a total of twelve being scored over the duration of the game. The half-time whistle came with both teams being separated by just one point with the Frosses girls in the ascendency.

The second half proved just as exciting as the first with there never being anymore than two scores between them. With time nearly up, the Derrybeg forwards just failed to hit the net and Frosses NS held on for a narrow two point win.

Congratulations are due to both schools for a great display of football. The Frosses girls left with the title knowing they had definitely been in a game.
