Celtic fans from Co Donegal in Glasgow for today’s title party match against Hearts will be unable to return home by fast ferries with P&O this evening after they were cancelled.
However they will be able to catch conventional ferries.
A Met Eireann spokesman said: “It will be very windy this afternoon and evening with strong and gusty southwest winds, strongest in Co Donegal, especially along the coasts.
“There will also be heavy rain later which will clear to showers will reach the northwest this evening. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.
The winds are south-westerly – meaning it won’t be as cold as it was of late.
