GAA NEWS: NAOMH MHUIRE CLUB NOTES

The u12s produced a very spirited performance against a very strong Naomh Conaill side on Friday evening last. There was an A and B team with a total of 25 players involved. On the B team there was man of the match performances from Mark McGee, Eoin Martin & Fionan Rodgers. On the A team Marc Walsh, Fintan Doherty and Jay Doherty all had stand out performances. The A team were defeated by Four Masters on Monday, and the B team secured a good victory against Na Rossa. The B team have a home game against Kilcar next Monday the 28th of May.

The under 14s continue their league campaign with a game at home to Aodh Ruadh on Wednesday evening in the banks at 7.30pm. All coaches are asked to be at the banks this Friday evening at 8pm. Good luck to Jack O’Brien and the county minors this Sunday against Cavan.

The summer league begins in the banks this Friday evening at 5.30pm.

Under 8s and under 10s training continues every Saturday in the banks from 10am – 11am.

The adult teams have no game this weekend, as the Cloughaneely games have been postponed.

The Ladies recorded an excellent victory in the Banks on Sunday last against Naomh Columba coming out winners on a score of 5-06 to 1-03. Good result and good solid performance from all players. Maith sibh.

Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday at 8pm in The Banks for u16s, minors and ladies.

Well done to Jade O’Donnell, Caroline Sharkey, Sarah O’Gara, Erika Hanna, Aideen Meehan and Zaria Boyle who have made the cut for the Donegal U16 Team.

Comhghairdeas dó Daniel Ward, Scoil Beal na Cruite agus Jack O’Donnell, Scoil Anagaire both Naomh Mhuire u12 players who are picked to represent Donegal in the Mini 7s at half time in the Ulster championship match between Cavan and Donegal.

Well done to Bronagh McGinley, for taking part in Cailín Gaelach, in Gweedore last weekend. Bronagh represented the club with great pride at the County Gaeltacht. Thanks also to the Clubmen who gave their time to Officiate as Referee and Umpires at the Gaeltacht Weekend in Gweedore.

Lotto details for week 9th May. Jackpot 1820 euro. No jackpot winner and no match 3 winners. Numbers drawn were 4-5-19-20.

May 100 club draw will take place on Wed. 30th at 9pm in Caislean Óir. Sellers to make sure all money is collected and in before the draw. New Members always welcome.
