Letterkenny Town Council is to write to the HSE and the Minister for Health asking that no more cuts be made to Letterkenny General Hospital.
It follows a motions by Cllr Dessie Larkin.
More than €12 million has been cut form the hospital’s budget over the past two years.
Cllr Larkin said the hospital is a victim of its own success but that it cannot afford any more cuts.
It follows an initial plea for the cessation of cuts by Donegal Action Against Care.
