Shay Given has helped the nation breath a collective sigh of relief after he revealed that he is fine for Euro 2012.

There had been concern the Lifford man was carrying a knee injury and might struggle to start.

But Shay tweeted a message to all of his fans saying that the news is good and that he has to just rest for a few days.

Given told of the good news via Twitter. The Aston Villa goalkeeper tweeted: “All good news ref my knee. Just gotta rest for a few days and then back training next week. Thanks for all the kind messages #COYBIG”
