Church Collections – We have been advised in Recent Times, not to publish the weekly Church collections because of Monies taken from Parochial Houses and Church Shrines. Sadly, this has occurred on more than one occasion throughout our Country. The average collection will be announced periodically throughout the year.

NORTH WEST SIMON COMMUNITY
The Band of the 4th Western Brigade is performing in Clar Chapel, Donegal Town on May 31st @ 7.30pm sharp. Supported by the Donegal Abbey Singers and the Donegal Youth Choir, tickets €15.00 or €10.00 concession. PEACE MASS
The monthly Diocesan Mass for Peace will be celebrated in Glenties on Thursday, 31st May, 2012 at 7.30pm. Bus leaving Main Street car park at 6.30pm.

ARDS FRIARY
Open Retreat (Open to Everyone) Friday 15th June – Thursday 21st June. Directed by Fr. Flann Lynch OFM Capuchin, Theme: Christian vision, hope and possibility. This retreat will identify the thinking and attitude that undermines the vision and will discover the attitudes and tools that make the vision a reality in everyday living. Commences: 6.00pm Concludes: After Breakfast 21st June, Cost: €390.00.

FAMILY COMMUNITY EVENT – FOR NEW PARISH CENTRE
On Sunday July 8th we will hold a family ‘walking and talking’ event to raise funds for our new Parish Centre. Registration in the porch of St. Patrick’s Church from 1.30pm and we will begin walking at 3.00pm. The walk route will take us through Donegal Town, around the Abbey Cemetery and along the beautiful Bank Walk. Tea and scones will be served afterwards in Scoil Aodh Rua agus Nuala in the Aodh Rua building, with lots of opportunities to catch up with friends and to meet new ones. Don’t forget to take a bottle of water and children must be accompanied by an adult. Please come along with your friends and neighbours to support your new parish centre and have a bit of fun as a community! No fees, donations only.

“Shreked the Musical”
Mini Crotchets and the Tir Chonail Youth Choir present “Shreked the Musical” in the St John Bosco Centre on Saturday 2nd , Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th June each night at 8.00pm. Additional Matinee Sunday 3rd at 3.00pm. Adult’s €7.00 or €5.00 concession.
