SINN FEIN Donegal TD Pearse Doherty had to abandon his televised speech at his party’s Ard Fheis on Saturday – after his wife went into labour.
The Gaoth Dobhair man had to drive from Killarney all the way home.
And he made it in time to watch his wife Roisin give birth to their fourth child.
Baby Micheal Eoghan Doherty was born on Saturday night.
