DONEGAL’S CURVY MODEL MAKES HER TV DEBUT!

Letterkenny student Elaine Sweeney made her modelling début TV3’s Ireland AM programme, having reached the final of a national competition to find a new curvy fashion model to be the ‘Face of Tempted’, the leading plus-sized fashion chain.

The 20 year old is studying for a BA in Administrative Management in Letterkenny IT.

Elaine loves fashion and clothes, and says that she entered the national plus-size modelling competition to show that being beautiful, fashionable, and most importantly happy, is very much possible, no matter what shape you are!

The TV3 modelling session, presented by Sinead Desmond, had stylist Cathy O’Connor talk through the latest range of summer fashion from Tempted, which has outlets in Carlow Shopping Centre, Wexford and Raheny in Dublin.

Tempted is one of the leading Irish stores specialising in curvy sizes 16 to 28, and model Elaine Sweeney wore two gorgeous looks that were bang on trend – a dip hem maxi dress, and a fabulous kaftan with linen trousers.

The Tempted range can be enjoyed countrywide, with online sales available on www.tempted.ie.

Tempted’s Facebook profile charts all the latest curvy fashion trends, and showcases the complete range for style conscious curvy shoppers, which includes highly-affordable dresses, tunics, separates, jackets, knitwear, jewellery, and belts. Labels include everything from casual to dressy, including exclusive Danish label Carmakoma, and the Anna Scholz collection, and Tempted is renowned in the curvy fashion business for sourcing labels not found anywhere else, at very affordable prices.

The Tempted model search competition which Donegal’s Elaine Sweeney entered was designed to find a real woman, sized ‘16 plus’, to represent Tempted and the majority of Irish women who don’t relate to the mainstream fashion trend of size 8, and smaller, models.

Hundreds of Irish women from all walks of life entered the Tempted competition, which, the organisers say, was hugely empowering for the finalists, and a showcase for the beauty and vitality of curvy women.

Elaine Sweeney says that women can be beautiful at any shape or size, and she believes that up-to-the-minute plus-size fashion allows women to embrace their shape and show off their gorgeous curves, confidently, and to maximum effect.

“I found modelling in TV3 very exciting, and was very proud to show the Tempted range of clothes to other curvy ladies, showing how it is possible to be trendy, no matter what size you are.

“Being curvy and voluptuous, or being super slim, should not stop anyone from wearing whatever they want, as long as they feel good about themselves. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes!” the Donegal finalist says.
