THE rise of Donegal athletics and our middle-distance runners has won high praise all around Europe.

The stunning achievements of Mark English, Karl Griffin, Darren McBrearty and Ruairi Finnegan in recent months in setting new records is starting to turn heads everywhere.

The journalist finished his article with a wonderful line: “They’re building their own Kenya in the hills of Donegal.”
