Hundreds of women from across Donegal were amongst more than 40,000 who took part in yesterday’s Flora Mini-Marathon.

The event, which continues to grow in size and popularity each year, took place across Dublin city centre.

The winner was Irish Olympic marathon hopeful Linda Byrne.

However, there were many winners on the day – not least of all the charities which benefited from the millions of euro raised on the day.

Among those who travelled from Donegal to take part was Glenswilly’s Clare McGinley, Raphoe’s Lorraine Porter, Letterkenny’s Irene McCusker and sisters Labhaoise, Deirdre and Fiona Temple and many, many more.
