This is the scene which greeted people at one of Donegal’s best-known GAA grounds today.

Fans heading for the top of the table clash between Naomh Conaill and St.Eunans may be advised to bring waders instead of shoes to the Glenties ground.

Club officials are battling to see if the game will be able to go ahead tomorrow.at Davy Brennan Memorial Park.

It’s just one of dozens of events hit by the weather after flash-flooding struck the county overnight.

Gardai are advising motorists to take extra care with surface water causing danger on roads throughout Donegal.

Farmers have been forced to rescue stranded animals while there are also reports of some rivers bursting their banks into fields.

And with more rain forecast in the coming days, the public is being warned not to take any chances.

Well what do you expect – is it June?
