The Donegal International Rally will resume again this morning after organisers were forced to cancel the last stage of the event yesterday.
The cancellation came after a protester blocked a roadway in the Knockalla area with a tractor.
It is understood the man was interviewed by Gardai at the scene.
A stand-off developed and organisers decided it was best to cancel stage 14 duirng yesterday’s second day of rallying.
Hundreds of disappointed spectators were forced to abandon the stage at Knockalla which is one of the most popular of the three day event.
The Knockalla stage was the scene of one of the most tragic incidents in the rally’s history two years ago when Meath navigator Thomas Maguire was killed.
