A NOTORIOUS Co Donegal paedophile who abused dozens of young boys is living close to a primary school.
In 2002, teacher Denis McGinley, whom former Detective Martin Ridge said abused “a conveyor belt of victims”, was sentenced to 30 months on 21 sample charges.
The abuse was horrific and was recalled in Ridge’s book above.
Abuse victims are furious that McGinley is living near a primary school in the area.
And they want him moved away from the Gaoth Dobhair area so that they can continue to recover from their horrific ordeals.
They also say he should be electronically tagged for life so that his movements can be monitored and he can’t abuse more young children.
“It’s sickening to see McGinley living where he is now,” one abuse victim told donegaldaily.com.
McGinley was so brazen about his actions he openly abused boys in the classroom.
But he was finally brought to justice by Ridge and colleague John Dooley when they investigated another notorious abuser Father Eugene Greene.
“I never had the courage to stop Denis McGinley as he was the teacher and he was in full control,”, victim ‘Frank’ told Ridge and Dooley during their investigation.
The abuse victim told us last night: “How would you feel as a parent knowing that the school your child attends that right across the road lives a convicted sex offender who lives within walking distance of that school.
“This evil predator now lives within a walking distance of a school and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.”
