Anne Marie Foy is a woman on a mission.

The Ballybofey woman, who is no less that 23 weeks pregnant, is currently organising her second annual fun walk on Sunday 15th July. The walk starts at the Finn Valley centre at 3pm with registration from 1.30pm and costs €5.

Last year Anne Marie raised a total of €8035 for the maternity ward at Letterkenny hospital. This was made up of €4010 from the fun walk and €4025 from the Christmas draw.

The money was spent buying a Doppler for the anti natal clinic which is used for checking the baby’s heart beat in the womb. The rest of the money is going to refurbish one of the six beds post natal ward at the in the maternity unit.

Anne Marie is appealing for as many people to support this worthy cause. The walk is 4k and will be on the footpaths around the Twin Towns which will be safe for buggies.

Anyone who would like to get a sponsorship card can contact Anne Marie on 0879975707 or check her facebook page for updates.
