IT could only happen in Donegal – and the weather was certainly cold enough.
For even Santa made an appearance when the Solis Lough Eske Hotel held a CHRISTMAS PARTY on Friday night!
More than 140 guests turned up to get tucked in to traditional turkey and ham and all the stuffing you can eat.
And the aroma of mulled wine didn’t seem out of place – as rain pounded off the windows of the castle hotel outside.
In fact temperatures on Friday night were only a couple of degrees higher than last Christmas Day!
The bash was a ‘thank you’ from hotel manager Jerome Quint to staff and locals who have supported the hotel in recent years.
There was even a huge Christmas tree and pressies.
For those interested in the real thing, there’s just 169 days left to Christmas.
