4 LANTERNS ULSTER SENIOR LEAGUE UPDATE
Cockhill Celtic are now four points behind leaders Derry City Reserves after they defeated bottom of the table Bonagee United on Saturday evening by 2 goals to 1.Also on Saturday, Swilly Rovers had a 3-1 home victory against Drumkeen United and on Friday night Letterkenny Rovers had a narrow 2-1 win over Fanad United at Triagh-A-Loch. Today at 2pm Kildrum Tigers host Buncranna Hearts.
DISCIPLINE
At a recent USL Disciplinary meeting Drumkeen United and Fanad United were stripped of the points they won on the 3rd of June.
Drumkeen were adjudged to have not properly cleared Conor Carlin in time for the game against Bonagee United. Drumkeen won the game 3-0 but the committee overturned the result in favour of the Dry Arch side.
Fanad United who defeated Cockhill Celtic by 2 goals to 0 were stripped of the points after it was adjudged that they had played Arthur Lynch and Darragh Patton before the 4 day rule. The committee decide to make this fixture null and void because Cockhill Celtic were also found guilty of playing player Johnny Bonner who was not signed on time to play in the fixture.
CUP FINAL VENUE
Its being confirmed that the Donegal News League Cup Final between Drumkeen United and Letterkenny Rovers will take place at Dry Arch Park(home of Bonagee United) on Sunday 29th of July.
